Murmur is designed around a local-first transcription loop. The app records on-device, writes a local WAV, runs a local Whisper model, and then copies or pastes the transcript.

Audio is processed locally with whisper.cpp.
Transcript history stays in local app storage.
No hosted transcription service is required for the core flow.

Build from source

Murmur is early and personal. For now, the safest path is cloning the repo and running the Tauri app locally.
